About the Role

A rapidly growing player in the space industry is seeking a Mechanical & Thermal Architect to reinforce its engineering teams within a growing SPACE & SKY division based in Toulouse.

You will act as a key technical authority responsible for defining and delivering the mechanical and thermal architecture of satellite systems , covering the full project lifecycle from early design phases through in-orbit operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the mechanical and thermal architecture of satellite platforms
• Lead architectural activities from Phase 0/A (concept design) through Phase B/C (detailed design and justification)
• Ensure system consistency and technical performance throughout development

Testing & Validation

• Act as technical reference for Mechanical AIT
• Prepare, supervise, and validate mechanical and thermal vacuum testing campaigns
• Ensure qualification and robustness of spacecraft during Phase D

Orbit Insertion & Operations

• Participate in flight operations activities, including LEOP
• Support thermal monitoring and spacecraft tracking in collaboration with operations teams (Phase E )

Candidate Profile

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or thermal architecture within the space industry
• Experience across the satellite development lifecycle
• Proven capability in mechanical & thermal system architecture definition
