Responsibilities
- Develop architectures, plans/schematics/software, and bills of materials within area of expertise, in accordance with client requirements
- Translate client needs into functional and technical specifications
- Contribute to the identification of project risks and ways to address them
- Ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality standards, and provide suggestions for optimizing them
- Identify machine safety risks and ways to prevent them
- Define new standards and use existing ones
- Propose optimizations in accordance with internal processes
- Define test/qualification and design validation protocols and assist production during workshop assembly if necessary
- Provide support to the after‑sales service/commissioning teams
- Anticipate industrialization issues and take appropriate action
- Participate in technical and financial negotiations with suppliers to guide them toward the most suitable product (creation of purchasing specifications and launch of consultations)
- Establish assembly principles and participate in the creation of assembly instruction
- Collaborate closely with other group entities as well as with the CAUs, project managers, and other specialists (electricians, mechanics, software engineers, etc.) to achieve common objectives
- Report and provide visibility on activity to superior and internal clients (CAUs, project managers, production, marketing, etc.)
Qualifications
- Graduate Engineer or equivalent (Master's degree)
- Professional Experience: Specialized knowledge in their field of expertise and general knowledge of other design office roles
- Technical Expertise: proficiency in dimensioning and calculations; independently conducts complex system studies; advanced proficiency in engineering software (CAD, automation, supervision, programming, post‑processing, development, etc.); proficiency in ERP tools (SAP) for producing bills of materials; advanced proficiency in the Office suite
- Additional Skills/Abilities: independently manages necessary analyses and corrective actions in the event of product failures; proficiency in Machinery Directive and associated standards; independently conducts risk analyses and defines mitigation measures; proficiency in documentation rules and preparation of technical files
