About The Role
As part of our R&D Engineering team, you will contribute to the design and development of the Power Conversion Unit (PCU) for next-generation Fuel Cell systems.
The PCU is a complex mechatronic system integrating energy storage, power electronics, cooling systems, structural components, electrical interfaces, instrumentation, and control hardware into a robust stationary power generation solution.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the development of complex industrial equipment , particularly in generator sets (gensets), stationary power systems, industrial machinery, power conversion equipment, or similar electromechanical products .
Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with electrical, thermal, controls, manufacturing, testing, procurement, and quality teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective products from concept through industrialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop the mechanical architecture of the Power Conversion Unit throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Create 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and engineering documentation.
- Design structural components, sheet metal assemblies, enclosures, cooling systems, mounting structures, cable management, and mechanical interfaces.
- Ensure seamless mechanical integration with electrical, thermal, and control subsystems.
- Perform mechanical calculations, tolerance stack‑up analyses, and support structural and thermal simulations (FEA).
- Prepare technical specifications, participate in design reviews, and support DFMEA activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers on component development, technical validation, and manufacturability.
- Support prototype assembly, testing, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of design improvements.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize product quality, cost, and serviceability.
Profile
Education
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in mechanical design of complex industrial or electromechanical systems.
- Experience in stationary power generation, gensets, industrial equipment, electrical enclosures, HVAC, rail, marine, off‑highway, or energy systems is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary product development environment is expected.
- Fuel cell or hydrogen experience is considered a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical design and product integration capabilities.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Good understanding of sheet metal, welded structures, machined parts, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems; experience with FEA tools is an advantage.

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on engineering mindset.
- Autonomous, organized, and proactive, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment.
- Fluent English is required; French is a plus.
