About The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing special‑purpose machines for machining, welding, metrology, non‑destructive testing, and/or handling activities. You will report to the Product Manager and be located in Marseille.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in the definition of tooling concepts during the bidding phase
• Conducting feasibility and detailed studies
• CAD design and mechanical sizing
• Selecting materials and electromechanical components
• Producing assembly drawings, detailed drawings, and bills of materials
• Creating intervention sequence plans and handling plans
• Writing design, qualification, and implementation documentation for tooling
• Participating in workshop acceptance tests, development, and qualification of tooling

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in general or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• 0 to 10 years of experience in design or manufacturing projects
• Passion for mechanics and special‑purpose machinery
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize information
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of EUROCODES; familiarity with the Machinery Directive is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in the nuclear field and RCC‑M regulations are appreciated
