Responsibilities
- Design and characterize innovative materials by integrating structure-property relationships and material-process interactions.
- Formulate and prototype new matrices, in particular PVC at lab scale, and support scale-up.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or process parameter adjustments in coordination with process teams according to design needs.
- Ensure monitoring, knowledge capitalization and the intellectual property strategy.
- Manage external collaborations (research labs, industrial partners...) to strengthen internal R&D.
Requirements
- Degree in materials science, polymer physico-chemistry, or plastics engineering. Master’s (Bac+5) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience post‑degree or Bachelor’s (Bac+3) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in formulation, characterization and processing of PVC, particularly by extrusion, for membrane or coated‑fabric applications.
- Proficiency in associated processes: extrusion (essential), coating, calendering.
- Good understanding of the formulation/process resulting properties relationship.
- Knowledge of interfacial science, adhesion, or eco-design is a plus.
- Experience with coated fabrics is an additional asset.
- Professional English (minimum B2).
