Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Materials and Process Engineering Support Engineer (f/h) to join our Structure Customer Support department based in Toulouse, France .

You will be part of the Structure Engineering Customer Services team, supporting safety processes and resolving major in‑service issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Airbus customers on material and process engineering issues, including painting, stripping, surface protection, sealants, cleaning, adhesives, composites, metal, fasteners, etc.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of in‑service problems on operators.
  • Deliver technical information via presentations, symposiums, Webex, or other media to improve customer operations.
  • Offer on‑site technical assistance and consulting.
  • Support customer service departments and other Airbus departments.
  • Initiate and follow up on updates to equipment and process documentation (Airbus Maintenance Manual, Structural Repair Manual).
  • Contribute to the development of harmonized and updated generic procedures for ATA Chapter 51.
  • Assist in technical resolution of problems identified in service.
  • Propose solutions based on in‑service experience for new products and collaborate with relevant design offices.
  • Attend travel requirements within and outside Airbus as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Technical experience in materials and processes.
  • Experience in customer or airline support activity.
  • Experience in airline or MRO maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage short‑ and long‑term activities.
  • Strong communication skills and professional presentation.
  • Service‑oriented mindset focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers, partners, and internal departments.
  • Initiative to improve equipment and processes.
  • Negotiation skills in English.
