Material and trade compliance expert

About the Role :

We are looking for a Material & Trade Compliance Expert to strengthen our Procurement organization. In this role, you will ensure that purchased materials, components, and traded goods fully comply with applicable material and trade regulations .

You will act as the key expert for material‑related regulatory compliance, working closely with suppliers, procurement teams, and Product Compliance to manage compliance risks and ensure accurate documentation across the supply base.

Your Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance of purchased materials and components with applicable material regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals)
• Define and communicate material compliance requirements to suppliers
• Review and validate supplier material declarations and compliance documentation
• Support supplier qualification and onboarding from a compliance perspective
• Coordinate closely with Product Compliance to ensure consistency between material‑level and product‑level compliance
• Support internal and external audits related to material and trade compliance
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on sourcing activities

Your Profile :

• Experience in material compliance, trade compliance, or regulatory roles within procurement or manufacturing
• Solid knowledge of material compliance regulations (REACH, RoHS, substance restrictions)
• Experience working with supplier compliance documentation and declarations
• Understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
• Structured, detail‑oriented, and risk‑aware working style
• Strong communication skills and confidence in interacting with suppliers
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
