Marketing Manager - France & Benelux (Timberland EMEA)
Role Overview
Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Marketing Manager, France & Benelux to join our EMEA Marketing team based in Paris, France. The role will lead 360° marketing campaigns that connect, engage and inspire consumers to drive brand demand while supporting local market KPIs such as revenue, margin, traffic and conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop 360° marketing campaigns based on EU strategy and creative execution.
- Scout news ideas and build seasonal local Go‑to‑Market plans, including media plans, PR, digital, events and phygital activations for wholesale and retail channels.
- Own brand activations with a clear focus on major cities (e.g., Paris) and integrate digital‑led media plans in line with company strategy.
- Support the EMEA Marketing team to produce high‑quality media planning briefs and purpose‑led brand activations that are inclusive, diverse and omnichannel.
- Build sustainable trade relationships with top accounts to maintain Timberland as top‑of‑mind with key retailers.
- Develop, lead and execute 360° activations with local key accounts, crafting energy stories for Tier0 and Tier1 distribution and nurturing strong relationships.
- Ensure co‑op activities are based on brand campaigns, deliver best value for the brand and track results against set KPIs.
- Benchmark competitors and devise alternative solutions to stand out at all distribution levels.
- Support seasonal strategic briefs for local PR agencies, advising on brand direction, business priorities and strategies.
- Develop and execute local PR plans that support brand positioning, media outreach and reputation management; build a media relations strategy targeting high‑level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Plan and budget for PR events, initiatives and seeding programmes that increase the quality and quantity of brand placements.
- Provide input on local brand partnerships, ambassadors and influencers to foster authentic long‑term relationships.
- Monitor and report media coverage, manage press materials and translations.
- Control sample distribution and oversee ongoing budget to ensure cost‑effectiveness.
- Measure marketing performance, evaluate budget spend and report on investment initiatives through relevant KPI tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 6years of relevant experience.
- Based in Paris with an active network in the city’s cultural hubs, community and main agency landscape.
- Deep knowledge of the footwear/apparel industry and its distribution in France and Benelux.
- Significant wholesale trade‑marketing experience in a premium branded environment, preferably with footwear product marketing.
- Experience and relationships with Tier0 and Tier1 accounts are a plus.
- Strong digital marketing proficiency (paid social media, brand digital activities and other digital platforms).
- Analytical skills to read business figures and react against them.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote).
- Google Analytics experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and team‑working abilities, with the capacity to think in solutions.
- French mother‑tongue, fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
