Responsibilities

• You drive the electronics development of our instruments and platforms: analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, PCB and firmware development
• With the rest of the R&I team, you deliver prototypes to our partners and clients, and you iterate on new versions from their feedback
• You engage directly with leading scientists across Europe on exciting collaborative research projects
• You understand and combine the needs of the market and of our academic partners to maximise the impact of our innovations
• You stay constantly tuned in to research needs to help us steer our work

Your profile

• You hold a Master’s in mechatronics, electrical engineering or equivalent
• You master software development, electronics, automation and instrumentation. More precisely: You have experience in the design, assembly, soldering and troubleshooting of PCBs
• You are comfortable with programming (ideally C/C++)
• You have already developed on a 32-bit microcontroller from a well-known family (STM32, Microchip…)
• You know communication protocols (UART, I2C…)
• You have a grasp of RTOS basics (multithreading, signals, mutexes…)
• You pair rigour with autonomy
• You keep an open mind and you take on the challenges outside your comfort zone
• You have a good level of English: most exchanges with colleagues and partners happen in English
• A first experience in mechatronics (internship, student society or personal project), along with hands‑on use of collaborative development platforms (GitHub), is a plus
• You are strongly drawn to, or already use, AI tools in your daily work
