Position Overview

Morgan Latif has been exclusively retained to appoint a Managing Director for France on behalf of a leading European industrial technology organisation operating in the energy storage and electrification space.

The Managing Director will have full responsibility for the French business, with a clear mandate to drive revenue growth, enhance customer engagement across OEM and industrial channels, and lead the organisation through its next stage of development.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, in a market where there is strong ambition to significantly increase scale and market share.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a growth strategy focused on expanding market share within OEMs, industrial customers, and battery distribution channels
• Take full ownership of P&L performance and scaling revenue
• Lead, develop, and inspire a team across sales, service, operations, and finance
• Drive new business development, particularly within OEM accounts, fleet operators, and material handling sectors
• Strengthen and expand relationships with key customers in industrial equipment, logistics, and e‑mobility ecosystems
• Enhance competitiveness through improvements in pricing strategy, service levels, and delivery performance
• Implement group strategy locally, ensuring strong alignment with international objectives
• Build a high‑performance, commercially driven culture with a strong focus on accountability and execution
• Act as the key external representative of the business within the French battery and OEM ecosystem

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Managing Director, General Manager, or senior commercial leader within: Battery technology / energy storage, or OEM‑facing industrial businesses (e.g. material handling, automotive, industrial equipment)
• Strong track record of selling into OEMs or large industrial customers, with a clear history of winning and scaling key accounts
• Experience within traction batteries (lead‑acid and/or lithium‑ion) is highly preferred
• Solid financial acumen with experience managing full P&L responsibility (including OPEX/CAPEX)
• Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional teams in a technical, product‑driven environment
• Strong network or market understanding within the French industrial, OEM, or battery ecosystem
• Strategic mindset with a hands‑on, execution‑driven leadership style
• Fluency in French and English required
