Manager, Sales Training - Cars.com

Job Description

• Coach and develop trainers using multiple formats to engage participants and ensure messages are received
• Balance and prioritize the sales organizations needs with training bandwidth
• Create training outlines and timelines based on interdepartmental needs and training strategy
• Collaborator with multiple departments to establish core training needs
• Strong team player able to contribute as a member of a team as well as leading and motivating them
• Results-oriented with a high attention to detail and strong follow-through skills
• Other duties as assigned by manger

Accountability and Decision Making

• The Manager of Sales Training is responsible for all delivering of sales training material. This position works in conjunction with the Director of training on the sale training priorities and with the Manager of learning an d development on the content.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise two Sales Training Managers and indirectly supervise one Sales Trainer

Physical Demand

• Ability to spend long periods in front of a computer screen.
• Ability to sit, stand and speak for lengthy periods of time.

Required Skills

• Excellent verbal, written & presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products; experience with CRM/Salesforce.com a plus, but not required
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels within our vertical, our Affiliate network, & our clients
• Self-motivated, organized
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

Required Experience

• 4 Education: BS/BA in Business or related field equivalent
• 5+ years of industry sales/training experience
• 5 + year of sales/training management experience including coaching and developing people
• Preferred Online Automotive advertising experience
