We are looking for a Solution Engineering Manager to lead our team of Solution Engineers in France. The Solution Engineering team works closely with Sales Reps (Account Executives) and their prospects to define and demonstrate the value of the HubSpot platform. They provide technical expertise to our customers across all segments during the sales cycle and serve as product experts with deep knowledge of the HubSpot software and platform ecosystem. The team handles tough objections, leads evaluation cycles to secure product fit consensus, and provides product feedback from customers to our product teams.
As a manager, you will be performance-driven, curious, and possess exceptional communication skills and a data‑driven mindset. The ideal candidate has experience managing high‑performing teams in the French market, building strategic cross‑functional collaborations, and consistently delivering against KPIs and objectives. You will lead a diverse team of talented Solutions Engineers servicing the French market, based across our European locations in office, hybrid, and remote environments, mentoring them to grow their careers.
In addition, you will act as a sponsor on complex deals, working with the deal team to remove barriers and provide clarity for prospects seeking adoption of HubSpot. You will be an integral part of the HubSpot leadership team based in France and a proactive contributor to the global PreSales team across EMEA, AMER, and JAPAC.
This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
In this role, you will:- Support ongoing growth and development, including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching.
- Partner with sales leadership and other cross‑functional teams to drive revenue growth and customer retention.
- Coach the team toward attaining key performance metrics and goals.
- Deliver against your objectives and key results.
- Integrate the PreSales teams into the SaaS GTM strategy and best practices.
- Maximize your impact by understanding the motivations of your team and adapting your communication accordingly (you have genuine empathy for others and a high emotional intelligence).
- Drive and contribute to regional and global projects to improve operational excellence and drive innovation.

- Solid experience managing PreSales teams with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with diverse teams across various geographical locations.
- Ability to build and maintain a strong team culture in a hybrid working environment.
- Experience in working with cross‑functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business development.
- Strong management skills and a people‑first mindset, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Sharp business acumen.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to identify trends and patterns.
- Experience in a fast‑paced environment, preferably in SaaS sales.
- Experience with pre‑sales activities including proposal development, client presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Reporting skills via Excel/GSheets, BI tools such as Looker, SQL, etc. – a plus.
- Experience upmarket, in scoping and deployment, and experience working with partners – a plus.
