You have worked in a multi‑unit Facilities Management (FM) organization, preferably in a high‑volume retail sector, with experience from a managerial position. You have proven skills in developing people and provide support, coaching, training to others. You have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and local language. Preferably you have academic degree or professional qualification in FM or equivalent. You have proven project management, preferably in PPS methodology, and change management experience. You have proven experience in working with sustainability and the environment from an FM perspective.
You have knowledge in following areas:
- budget- business risk- project- and change management
- how to plan, attract, grow, deploy, reward and support co- workers & leaders and their careers in IKEA
- 3 dimensions of sustainability; knowledge how to balance and merge environmental, social and economic aspects to define sustainability and how IKEA uses that knowledge in striving to make sustainable business
- sustainable operations transformation
- FM scope and ways of working, know which services are included in the agreed Ingka FM service scope and understand the FM delivery model, as well as the position of FM within the Ingka business
- FM business processes
- FM market, standards & rules, know the country FM market for hard and soft FM services, and the international and Ingka FM standards, manuals and rules
Key Responsibilities

- lead and manage the FM cluster organization
- enable and secure best operation to the business
- be responsible to make sure that each property is managed throughout its lifetime including safety, compliance, maintenance and improvement to ensure a safe and operational environment for the business, co-workers, customers and other stakeholders
- lead execution to implement relevant property management innovations, digital and technical solutions
- be responsible to secure that each property is kept in safe and as new condition on business needs
- be responsible to optimise the efficiency of each property in a sustainable way
- follow up of permits, licences, certificates and reporting measures in order to stay compliant with local and international legislation regarding the Ingka Real Estate FM scope
- ensure that co-workers and external partners have up‑to‑date awareness and understanding of all FM frameworks, guidelines and initiatives issued by Ingka Real Estate
- safeguard that forecasts, budget, follow‑ups, 5‑year rolling plan etc. are delivered from all sites
- define the structure for contract and supplier management together with the Ingka purchasing organisation to improve efficiencies/costs/equipment and quality
- manage and develop the team’s competence, performance and succession planning
- create an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and embraces the diversity of co‑workers and customers
In this role you will report to the Real Estate Manager, Cluster level.
