You have worked in a multi‑unit Facilities Management (FM) organization, preferably in a high‑volume retail sector, with experience from a managerial position. You have proven skills in developing people and providing support, coaching, training to others. You have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and the local language. Preferably you have an academic degree or professional qualification in FM or equivalent. You have proven project management experience, preferably in PPS methodology, and change management experience. You have proven experience in working with sustainability and the environment from an FM perspective. You have knowledge in the following areas: budget‑business risk‑project and change management; how to plan, attract, grow, deploy, reward and support co‑workers and leaders and their careers in IKEA; the three dimensions of sustainability; knowledge of how to balance and merge environmental, social and economic aspects to define sustainability and how IKEA uses that knowledge in striving to make sustainable business; sustainable operations transformation; FM scope and ways of working, knowing which services are included in the agreed Ingka FM service scope and understanding the FM delivery model and the position of FM within the Ingka business; FM business processes; FM market, standards and rules, understanding the country FM market for hard and soft FM services, and the international and Ingka FM standards, manuals and rules.

Key responsibilities

You will lead and manage people and the FM business to optimise the value and efficiency of each property in a sustainable way in the cluster according to the Ingka Real Estate scope. You will:

• lead and manage the FM cluster organization
• enable and secure best operation for the business
• ensure that each property is managed throughout its lifetime, including safety, compliance, maintenance and improvement, to provide a safe and operational environment for the business, co‑workers, customers and other stakeholders
• lead execution to implement relevant property management innovations, digital and technical solutions
• ensure that each property is kept in a safe and as‑new condition according to business needs
• optimise the efficiency of each property in a sustainable way
• follow up on permits, licences, certificates and reporting measures to stay compliant with local and international legislation regarding the Ingka Real Estate FM scope
• ensure that co‑workers and external partners have up‑to‑date awareness and understanding of all FM frameworks, guidelines and initiatives issued by Ingka Real Estate
• ensure that forecasts, budgets, follow‑ups and the 5‑year rolling plan are delivered from all sites
• define the contract and supplier management structure together with the Ingka purchasing organisation to improve efficiencies, costs, equipment and quality
• manage and develop the team’s competence, performance and succession planning
• create an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and embraces the diversity of co‑workers and customers

In this role you will report to the Real Estate Manager, Cluster level.
