About the role Join our growing AI Platform organization to lead the team responsible for training and serving infrastructure.

You will define the technical vision and roadmap for systems supporting Bits AI, LLMObs, and internal research initiatives.

What you'll do

• Manage and scale a team of 10+ engineers.
• Establish the technical roadmap in coordination with AI platform goals and Applied AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with core platform teams to adapt storage, infrastructure, and data pipelines.
• Foster a team culture focused on high engineering standards and customer needs.
• Contribute to hands-on tasks including design reviews, code reviews, and programming.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a people management or technical lead role.
• Background in backend, infrastructure, and data engineering with a desire to remain hands-on.
• Proven ability to deliver software on schedule within fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Skill in coordinating across cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and science.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools to validate and refine generated outputs.

• Motivation to advance how AI improves software engineering practices and contributes to AI-enabled products.
