Manager, DTC Marketing (Remote/Flexible)
Position Overview
The DTC Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing the Direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) marketing strategy for the Omnipod brand at regional and local levels. The primary objective of this role is to build and scale the European business and deliver consistent double‑digit topline growth through impactful, insight‑driven marketing. The role executes DTC strategic initiatives, develops channel & consumer propositions, creates compelling messaging, and builds data‑driven marketing plans and programs that drive funnel progression and support the achievement of strategic targets. Marketing strategies encompass brand campaigns, channel strategies, digital and social media plans, consumer programs, community engagement and advocacy‑oriented initiatives including events and partnership activities.
This role collaborates closely with PR, media, social agencies, manages cross‑channel campaigns, oversees website/landing page optimization, supports launch readiness, and drives demand generation, particularly for the AID systems category. The position supports regional and country sales teams with effective resources and ensures strong alignment with global and international teams as well as functions like Legal, Medical, Customer service and clinical training.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate market needs by analyzing consumer trends, digital behavior, pathways, and competitive dynamics
- Build insights, personas, knowledge and understanding of the DACH region and local health care environment
- Translate insights into effective tactics among marketing plans and communicate these across the organisation
- Lead the development and execution of regional DTC strategies, including target segments, value propositions and competitive positioning
- Drive overall brand performance through integrated DTC marketing programs focused on awareness, interest, consideration and conversion
- Develop and execute integrated commercial launch assets into marketing plans including core strategies, tactics, KPIs, budgets and timing
- Ensure channel‑agnostic, consumer‑centric go‑to‑market execution
- Lead consumer‑facing digital channels for the DACH region, including website, landing pages, email and social platforms
- Drive performance marketing across paid social, search, display and programmatic channels
- Implement continuous conversion rate optimisation via A/B testing and performance analytics
- Build dashboards to track KPIs and optimize channel investments
- Collaborate with PR and press, including storytelling, press releases and media engagement
- Manage external PR and media agencies, including briefing execution oversight, KPI evaluation and budget control
- Ensure consistent and integrated communication across channels
- Develop structured, insight‑driven social media content plans aligned with brand objectives and consumer needs
- Oversee community management in close collaboration with the International counterpart
- Localize consumer engagement programmes and develop advocacy‑oriented activities such as events or community‑based partnerships
- Design and execute demand‑generation activities to support growth of the AID systems category
- Ensure compliance across all DTC activities aligned with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
- Manage content submissions and approval workflows using Veeva, ensuring version control, documentation and audit‑readiness
- Collaborate across regional, international and global functions and teams
- Oversee regional DTC budgets and ensure optimized spending
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; Master’s degree is strongly preferred
- Several years of experience in consumer marketing – ideally within med‑tech and/or diabetes‑related sectors
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities with a forward‑looking perspective
- Strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse teams
- Experience managing agencies and non‑profit organisations
- Ability to influence without authority, including senior‑level stakeholders
- Familiarity with complex, competitive markets preferred
- Significant travel required to meet partners and support regional activities
- Ability to understand and connect to the patient experience
Preferred Skills / Competencies
- EU regional and in‑country travel required
- Degree in either a business, marketing, medical or science discipline is required; postgraduate training advantageous
- Substantial experience in downstream marketing and new product commercialisation
- Previous experience in an EU/global marketing role is considered essential
- Strong digital marketing background (SEA, SEO, SoMe, performance marketing)
