Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Butler / Majordome to deliver an exceptional, discreet and fully personalised service to guests staying at the villa, an ultra-luxury private residence on the French Riviera. The Butler acts as the central point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless, anticipative and refined experience from pre-arrival to departure. This role requires precision, discretion, anticipation and absolute attention to detail, in line with the highest standards of luxury hospitality and private service.

Responsibilities

• Act as Maître de Maison during guest stays.
• Prepare and coordinate all aspects of guest arrival (preferences, setup, amenities).
• Welcome guests and ensure a smooth and discreet check-in / check-out.
• Deliver a fully personalised and bespoke service throughout the stay.
• Anticipate guest needs and preferences, including repeat guest habits.
• Ensure constant guest satisfaction and excellence in service delivery.
• Villa Preparation & Standards: ensure the villa is prepared according to guest preferences and Voile d’Or Brand Standards; maintain all guest areas in perfect condition; conduct regular inspections of bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and outdoor spaces.
• Service Delivery (Food & Beverage): coordinate and assist with all meal services with the Chef; execute or supervise table set-up, service (formal / informal) and beverage service; ensure presentation and timing meet ultra-luxury expectations.
• Coordination of Operations: coordinate daily operations with housekeeping, Chef and technical team; ensure seamless communication between all departments; monitor service quality and execution across the villa.
• Concierge & Lifestyle Services: organize and manage all guest requests (transfers, restaurants, activities, events); maintain and develop a strong network of local partners; deliver unique and tailored experiences.
• Inventory & Supplies: monitor and control guest amenities, beverages and service equipment; ensure all necessary items are available at all times; report missing or damaged items.
• Property Oversight: conduct daily inspections of the property; identify and report maintenance issues; ensure immediate resolution in coordination with technical teams.
• Discretion & Confidentiality: maintain absolute confidentiality at all times; build trust with UHNW clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in luxury hospitality (5* / Palace), private households or yachting (Butler / Steward).
• Strong service culture and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate and adapt quickly.
• Fluent in English; French required, additional languages a plus.
