Major Accounts Collections Specialist

• Independently manage a portfolio of major-account customers
• Process the daily volume of emails and unapplied invoices
• Investigate payment details, receive remittance advices, and forward them to the relevant department
• Follow up on accounts and monitor outstanding balances through to payment
• Check that invoices comply with each customer’s specific administrative requirements
• Analyze contracts and identify discrepancies, including billing variances, closed construction-site equipment, damage, and inconsistencies between contracts and invoices
• Monitor, update, and cross-reference data in Excel
• Identify, assess, and resolve disputes
• Report cases requiring branch intervention to the relevant branches and follow up on their progress
• Work closely with branches, account managers, and sales teams
• Participate in discussions and monitor the onboarding process with Will and customer companies

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel: formulas, queries, updates, data cross-referencing, and reporting
• Strong analytical skills and an interest in handling complex cases
• Rigorous, methodical, and highly organized approach to portfolio management
• Knowledge of collections, ideally in a B2B / major-accounts environment
• Comfortable using document-management tools, customer platforms, and data-extraction tools
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective internal relationships
• Curious mindset and ability to understand the underlying details of each case
• Ability to identify and address issues within one’s scope, escalating to the sales team when necessary
