About the Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished Major Account Executive to join our Enterprise/Field Sales Team in France. In this advanced role, you will drive significant growth by leading comprehensive sales cycles within a portfolio of assigned enterprise‑level clients, and strategically acquiring new logos. You will master all sales activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, proactive and strategic pipeline management, and consistently exceeding attainment targets. As a subject‑matter expert, you will articulate Cloudflare’s products, features, benefits, and use cases across diverse customer segments. This role demands a deep understanding of complex customer IT architectures, the ability to map them to relevant Cloudflare Reference Architectures, and the orchestration of successful, large‑scale platform sales. You will be a key driver of digital transformation for our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Revenue Generation: Architect and execute advanced territory and account plans to consistently exceed multi-million dollar sales targets and annual quotas, focusing on new business acquisition and expansion within complex enterprise environments.
- Expert Pipeline & Forecasting: Lead proactive and strategic pipeline management, delivering highly accurate forecasts and strategic guidance to sales leadership.
- Deep Customer & IT Architecture Understanding: Develop a profound understanding of customers’ IT architectures, align Cloudflare Reference Architectures to their environments, and drive comprehensive platform solutions.
- Multi‑Engagement Leadership: Orchestrate and manage multiple complex customer engagements simultaneously across various business units, influencing technical leaders to strengthen Cloudflare’s platform sale.
- Virtual Team Leadership: Lead a virtual team of in‑GEO specialists, Product Managers, Deal Desk, and Legal to manage and close complex customer opportunities.
- Digital Transformation Authority: Act as an authority on digital transformation, positioning Cloudflare as a critical enabler of customer initiatives.
- Compelling Value Creation: Articulate strategic value propositions linking Cloudflare services to customer business outcomes.
- Advanced Negotiation & Closure: Lead complex contract negotiations and secure win‑win outcomes for all parties.
- Trusted Advisor & Coach: Build long‑term executive‑level relationships, ensuring adoption, retention, and expansion; coach team members for continuous improvement.
- Organizational Impact & Leadership: Focus on long‑term team and business needs, share insights, and elevate the work of others by leveraging diverse perspectives.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- 10+ years of advanced experience selling complex technology solutions in a B2B enterprise model, consistently exceeding multi-million dollar quota targets.
- Deep expertise and fluency in Cloud Networking, Security, and Edge Computing technologies, with exceptional ability to articulate features and use cases across customer segments.
- Proven ability to map complex customer IT architectures to Cloudflare Reference Architectures for successful platform sales.
- Experience leading and influencing virtual cross‑functional teams to close complex deals.
- Strong strategic communication and presentation skills focusing on the “why” to executive leadership and technical decision‑makers.
- Advanced negotiation skills, closing large, complex, multi-million dollar deals.
- Expert sales acumen in discovery, positioning, competitive selling, negotiation, closing, and expansion strategies within enterprise accounts.
- Authority on digital transformation trends and their impact on enterprise customers.
- Strong coaching and mentorship abilities.
- Highly self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, and resilient, thriving in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Proficiency in advanced sales and business intelligence platforms (Salesforce, Tableau, G‑suite, MSFT suite, MEDDPICC).
- Bachelor’s degree required; technical background (engineering, computer science, MIS) highly preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Languages: French & English.
