Based in Paris, the Brand Copywriter is responsible for the development, writing, and oversight of Maison Margiela copy across editorial, print, digital, and product communications. The role ensures coherence of the Maison's tone of voice, vocabulary and creative language across platforms and markets, overseeing copy creation and translation processes in collaboration with marketing, design studio, product development, external partners, and coordinating publication with CRM, e-commerce and marketing teams.
Copywriting
- Develop, write, and refine brand copy across Maison Margiela touchpoints, including product narratives, campaigns, digital platforms, exhibitions, publications, and commercial communications
- Safeguard and evolve the Maison's creative language, in collaboration with creative direction and marketing, ensuring coherence with house codes, archival references, and seasonal intentions across markets and channels
- interpret creative direction, collections, and brand concepts into precise, culturally sensitive written narratives that articulate the Maison's identity for different channels
- Collaborate closely with Studio, Merchandising, Marketing, and regional teams to align storytelling, language, intent, and execution
- Contribute to the framing and articulation of seasonal stories, and brand initiatives, from early concept to public-facing expression
- Participate in product naming, ensuring conceptual relevance and consistency with the Maison's vocabulary
- Support press and communication materials through briefing, editing, and narrative alignment, ensuring accuracy and tone across external outputs
- Act as a reference point for brand language, reviewing copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to Maison Margiela's tone of voice and standards
- Monitor cultural, editorial, and industry contexts to inform the evolution of brand language while preserving the integrity of the Maison's identity
Project Management
- Manage copy-related budgets, including cost forecasting, quotations, and monitoring of external production expenses.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders on project progress, process updates, timelines, and potential budget implications.
Experience
- Work experience A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the fashion or luxury industry
- Work attitude Solution-driven, Strong team player.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capacity to collaborate with various departments
- French & Englisg mandatory, Italian is a plus
