Machine Learning Engineer, Outmax
Perion is a global advertising technology company delivering solutions to the biggest brands and publishers around the globe across search, social media and display, video, CTV, and programmatic DOOH.
Home to an award-winning technology solution –– with our unique data-driven AI/ML based technologies, we deliver and optimize hundreds of terabytes of data and billions of events per day. We’re working with dozens of sources to provide a superior experience across screens and platforms, including mobile, video, social and native.
About the position:
Outmax sits as an intelligence layer above ad buying platforms, giving brands and agencies control over the KPIs that actually matter to them. To do that well, we need people who can move fluidly between statistical rigour, machine learning pipelines, and production-grade code, often within the same week. This ML Engineer role, based in Montpellier or Paris with flexible remote options, is a hands‑on, ownership‑heavy position on a small team where your work ships to production and has direct impact on campaign performance for real clients.
You will be responsible for:
- Build and deploy bid optimisation ML pipelines that feed directly into ad buying platforms, owning the full lifecycle from design to production
- Design statistical frameworks to evaluate and improve campaign KPI performance for brand and agency clients
- Develop production‑grade backend services to expose ML model outputs via API, writing clean, reliable code with or without AI assistance
- Wire MCP servers to extend Outmax's agentic offering with new data sources and actions
- Own features end‑to‑end, from ideation and scoping through to deployment and iteration, without waiting for someone else to connect the dots
What We’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience combining machine learning, data science, or backend engineering at an intermediate to senior level
- Strong Python skills with the ability to write clean, production‑ready code, LLM assistance is encouraged but this is not a vibe‑coding role
Nice to have
- Experience working in or with adtech platforms such as DSPs, SSPs, or campaign performance data
- Hands‑on experience with agentic AI frameworks or LLM tooling such as MCP or LangChain
