The Role
Microsoft 365 (M365) is the Group’s common collaboration platform, serving all Operating Companies within an international and decentralized model. In a context of rapidly evolving ways of working (hybrid work, cross-entity collaboration, security, compliance, delegation, and multi-entity governance), the M365 Architect act as the technical guardian of the Microsoft 365 platform , defining, designing, validating, and continuously evolving its architecture.
The role aims to strike the right balance between technical and functional innovation , security constraints , and business risk , in close collaboration with Cybersecurity teams, while supporting project and run teams with expert guidance and technical challenge.
Key Responsibilities
1) Platform Architecture & Technical Standards
- Define, maintain, and evolve the target Microsoft 365 architecture (services, configurations, integrations, security).
- Establish and maintain architectural principles, standards, and design patterns for the platform.
- Ensure global technical consistency and control technical debt.
- Anticipate and assess the impact of Microsoft roadmap and platform evolutions.
2) Technical Expertise & Solution Review
- Act as the technical reference for Microsoft 365 across projects and run activities.
- Review, challenge, and validate technical solutions proposed by project and operations teams.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with architectural standards.
- Support complex or cross-functional technical topics and decision-making
3) Continuous Evolution & Controlled Innovation
- Analyze new Microsoft 365 features and technical evolutions.
- Assess their relevance, value, and risks for the organization.
4) Security, Risk & Compliance Alignment
- Work in close partnership with Cybersecurity teams to assess and mitigate technical and business risks.
- Define and implement security guardrails, controls, and architectural protections.
- Ensure platform compliance with Group security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to risk assessments related to platform changes and innovations.
5) Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support Run teams on major incidents, structural issues, and complex technical root causes.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and define remediation and improvement actions.
- Contribute to improving platform reliability, performance, resilience, and maintainability.
The Experience You Bring
- M365 Platform Technical Expertise: 5+ experience in managing technically an M365 platform for large company / group in an international environment.
- Leadership: Proven experience influence and lead technical internal & external teams to align with business roadmaps and governance policies.
- Global Mindset: Ability to work effectively with decentralized teams dispersed across multiple international locations.
- Implementation Track Record: Experience with M365 Managed Services and Adoption implementations and managing global external service providers.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English and French. Spanish is a plus
Work Mode & Location
Hybrid: 3 days in Paris (8ème) after the trial period
