Role Description The M&A Deal Scout will identify, evaluate, and source potential acquisition targets in the financial services industry, primarily for Wealthrone Capital’s portfolio. This is a contract role based in Paris with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site and work-from-home days. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching target markets, mapping potential deal opportunities, and initiating contact with company owners, advisors, and intermediaries. The role involves conducting preliminary financial and qualitative assessments, supporting early-stage due diligence, and preparing concise reports and summaries for internal stakeholders. The M&A Deal Scout will collaborate closely with senior investment professionals to refine deal pipelines, track deal flow, and support negotiations by providing relevant data and insights.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities, business performance, and potential risks.
- Knowledge of finance and investments to understand valuation, capital structures, and transaction economics.
- Experience or familiarity with due diligence processes, including review of operational, legal, and financial information.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles to interpret financial statements and key metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with founders, advisors, and industry contacts.
- Self-directed work style with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a hybrid, international environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; prior M&A, investment banking, or private equity exposure is a plus.
