SatPort, Logistics Manager:

The Logistics Manager at Satport will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations to ensure efficient movement, storage, and delivery of goods, equipment, and materials. This role is critical to maintain operational continuity, cost efficiency, compliance, and service quality across domestic and international supply chains. The Logistics Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, vendors, freight partners, and internal stakeholders to support business objectives and scale logistics capabilities as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Planning & Execution

  • Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory movement, and distribution
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet delivery timelines
  • Plan shipments (air, sea, road) and ensure optimal routing and carrier selection
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and drive continuous improvement
  • Resolve escalations related to delays, damages, or service failures

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

  • Oversee inventory movement and storage to ensure accuracy and availability
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams for inbound and outbound operations
  • Implement best practices for stock handling, tracking, and reporting

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with procurement, operations, finance, and project teams to align logistics support with business needs
  • Provide regular updates on shipment status, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Strong understanding of hardware supply chain and logistics operations, ideally in a ground infrastructure environment
  • Experience with transportation management, freight forwarding, and warehousing
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation
  • Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems, and tracking tools
  • Data analysis skills to interpret KPIs and optimize operations
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under time pressure
  • Negotiation and vendor management expertise
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and external partners
  • Leadership capability to guide teams and drive accountability

This role is based in Paris and requires occasional travelling.
