Logistics System Engineer (m/f)
Location: Marignane-Les Florides, France.
Responsibilities
- Specify, design and improve the logistics system—including warehouse, infrastructure, IT, material allocations, flows, and processes—to support Operations (industrial, services, and MRO) for on‑time delivery to the point of use/delivery.
- Design logistics (intra‑ and inter‑site) processes and infrastructure solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Design warehouse layouts and specify infrastructure and means to ensure optimal flows and surface utilization.
- Specify logistics means in collaboration with internal customers to ensure safe and efficient handling of material.
- Support the creation and update of logistics work instructions, ensuring clarity, consistency, and operational applicability.
- Ensure a smooth handover of solutions to production, involving operations at an early stage.
- Align all logistics solutions with the company’s strategic, compliance, and environmental policies.
- Ensure all processes comply with guidelines provided by quality, export control, and other relevant functions.
- Identify needs for changes in existing logistic infrastructure and initiate appropriate actions.
- Monitor intra‑site and inter‑site process execution, identify inconsistencies, and contribute to corrective action plans.
- Support the digitalisation team in ensuring EWM is set up and configured in accordance with global strategy and process requirements.
- Support the CFT team by providing relevant information for technical specifications.
- Analyse shopfloor logistics flows—including inbounding, picking, kitting, and outbound—to identify improvement levers.
- Provide functional support to site leads and warehouse teams, helping deploy and stabilise improved internal logistics processes at the site level.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in logistics (engineering, field operations, logistics platforms).
- Experience with SAP systems, ideally EWM Warehouse Management System.
- Knowledge of the aerospace environment.
- 5‑8 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Cross‑functional project experience.
