Logistics System Engineer
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Logistics System Engineer (m/f) to join the Logistics Department based in Marignane-Les Florides, France. The Marignane site is the 3rd largest industrial site in France, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, undergoing a deep transformation to offer a high‑tech, inclusive, and environmentally friendly working environment.
Responsibilities
The team of Logistics Systems at Airbus Helicopters is responsible for specifying, implementing and improving the logistics system (warehouse, infrastructure, IT, material allocations, material flows, and processes) to enable Operations (industrial, services, and MRO) for an efficient and reliable On‑Time‑Delivery of material to the Point of Use/Delivery.
As a Logistics System Engineer, you will contribute to the mission by specifying and designing layouts, flows, and processes, and identifying, analysing, and implementing improvements within warehouse and shopfloor logistics operations. You will leverage operational insights, audits, and data to optimise internal flows, standardise work practices, and enhance process robustness across Airbus Helicopters sites.
- Designing logistic (intra‑and inter‑site) process and infrastructure solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Designing warehouse layouts and specifying infrastructure/means to ensure optimal flows and surface utilisation
- Specifying in collaboration with the internal customers logistics means to ensure safe and efficient handling of material
- Supporting the creation and update of logistics work instructions, ensuring clarity, consistency, and operational applicability
- Ensuring a smooth handover to production of the solutions designed by involving operations at an early stage
- Ensuring all logistics solutions are in line with the company's strategic, compliance and environmental policies
- Ensuring all processes are in line with the guidelines provided by quality, export control, and other relevant functions
- Identifying the need for changes in the existing logistic infrastructure and initiating appropriate actions
- Monitoring intra‑site and inter‑site process execution, identifying inconsistencies and contributing to corrective action plans
- Supporting the digitalisation team in ensuring EWM is set up and configured in accordance with global strategy / process requirements
- Supporting the CFT team by providing the relevant information for the technical specification
- Analyse shopfloor logistics flows, including inbounding, picking, kitting, and outbound, to identify improvement levers
- Providing functional support to site leads and warehouse teams, helping deploy and stabilise improved internal logistics processes at site level
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in logistics (engineering, field operations, logistics platforms)
- Experience in SAP systems (ideally EWM Warehouse Management System)
- Knowledge of the aerospace environment
- Experience in a complex environment
- 5‑8 years of experience
- Fluent English required
- Cross‑functional project experience
