Linguistics Specialist – AI Training & Linguistic Content
We are looking for a rigorously trained linguist with genuine academic depth to support AI training and high-quality linguistic content work. This role is suited to candidates with a strong formal background in linguistics and a clear record of applying that knowledge.
Role Overview
You will contribute directly to the quality and reliability of large language models and NLP systems through precise linguistic analysis, data curation, annotation, evaluation, and content creation. The work demands analytical precision, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve ambiguity, bias, grammaticality issues, and model error patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit linguistically rigorous content: grammar guides, syntactic analyses, usage notes, and carefully constructed examples for NLP pipelines.
- Identify and resolve problems of ambiguity, bias, grammaticality, and pragmatic appropriateness.
- Conduct quality assurance on model outputs for fluency, tone, factual accuracy, register, and language appropriateness.
- Annotate linguistic datasets with syntactic, semantic, pragmatic, or morphological labels according to defined guidelines.
- Perform targeted linguistic research and produce clear summaries for internal teams.
- Analyse model behaviour, error patterns, and generalisation failures from a linguistic perspective and recommend improvements.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong command of English for professional written communication
- High standards of accuracy, intellectual honesty, and attention to detail.
We look forward to welcoming candidates who combine strong linguistic training with analytical rigour and intellectual honesty.
