Legal Specialist

We are currently looking for experienced Legal Translation SMEs for a short-term freelance project (approximately 4 months) involving translation review and validation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on an AI-focused language project where your expertise will directly contribute to improving and fine-tuning an existing AI model.

Role Overview

The selected SME will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and validating AI-generated legal translations
• Correcting translation inaccuracies and linguistic errors
• Ensuring legal terminology and contextual accuracy
• Providing high-quality linguistic feedback to support AI model refinement
• Participating in an initial Time & Motion study for effort estimation and project planning

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in French
• Strong proficiency in English and French
• Proven experience in legal translation, legal documentation, or legal publishing
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and contextual nuances
• Prior experience in translation review, localization QA, or AI validation projects is preferred
• Ability to work independently and meet quality expectations
