Within the Legal Department and under the supervision of the Legal Director in charge of Global IP Enforcement, based in Geneva, you will play a key role in protecting and enhancing the Maison’s intellectual property rights.

In a demanding and international environment, you will actively contribute to the implementation of anti-counterfeiting strategies, working closely with both internal teams and external partners.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on strategic matters at the heart of defending an iconic brand, while interacting with a wide range of stakeholders worldwide (including authorities, external counsels, and internal teams).

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

1. (Pre-)Litigation

  • Defining, implementing and monitoring anti-counterfeiting strategies;
  • Strategic coordination with the Team in charge of the IP Portfolio;
  • Preparing case files and monitoring administrative, criminal and civil pre-litigation and litigation matters, including in particular:
    • Assessing chances of success;
    • Preparing evidence of use files;
    • Drafting cease-and-desist letters/complaint letters;
  • Authentication of products and coordination with the Stopfake online Team (Geneva).

2. Support for and awareness-raising among authorities

  • Training and awareness-raising for authorities in charge of anti-counterfeiting enforcement (Police, Gendarmerie, Customs, etc.) worldwide;
  • Expert assessments in response to requests from authorities worldwide in connection with seizures;
  • Initiating/renewing and monitoring customs applications for action, and managing relationships with local authorities;
  • Representing the Maison’s interests within associations and working groups.

Profile

To succeed, the candidate will hold:

  • a degree in Intellectual Property law; and
  • a first validated relevant experience of minimum 2 years - maximum 4 years (internships excluded)

Languages

  • An excellent written and spoken English is a must and will be tested during the interview.
  • French and an additional language such as Spanish or Mandarin would be a plus.

Additional information

  • Location: Paris 1er arrondissement
  • Contract: CDI/Open-ended
  • Years of professional experience: 2 to 4 years
  • English level: Advanced (C1) or Bilingual (C2)

Compensation

€45,000 – €50,000 brut per annum, depending on profile and experience.
