Legal Counsel H/F
Aeolus is a French renewable energy developer working for renewable energy IPP (Independent Power Producer) projects in Africa.
Aeolus was established in March 2024 as a joint venture company between CFAO SAS and Eurus Energy Holdings, which are both under Toyota Tsusho Corporation.
CFAO has over 170 years of hands-on experience and knowledge, and its distribution network of 86 business units in 46 countries is the largest on the African continent. Eurus Energy is the largest wind power generator in Japan and has a history and knowledge in the renewable energy business, developing wind and solar power generation projects in 15 countries and regions in Japan and abroad. Combining the knowledge and experience of our two companies from different backgrounds, AEOLUS is committed to promoting businesses that contribute to solutions to social issues and green economic growth in Africa.
- Provide legal support for renewable energy IPP projects across Africa throughout the project lifecycle, including development, construction, financing and operations.
- Support project finance transactions by coordinating with lenders, external legal counsel and internal business teams.
- Provide legal support for acquisitions, joint ventures and investment transactions as required by the business.
- Support regulatory, licensing and permitting matters across multiple African jurisdictions.
- Coordinate legal support relating to Project Companies, SPVs and HoldCos where appropriate.
- Coordinate and manage external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
- Act as the primary legal focal point within AEOLUS while working closely with the CFAO Legal Department.

- Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Balances legal risk management with business objectives.
