We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

Responsibilities

• Create and manage data privacy and AI compliance programmes, driving global initiatives alongside the Group DPO.
• Lead compliance projects and support commercial contract activity.
• Design and manage third‑party due diligence programmes (risk‑tiering, screening, remediation).
• Coordinate compliance training campaigns in partnership with HR and develop training for non‑legal stakeholders.
• Manage retention schedules and data disposition processes, oversee legal holds and documentation.
• Support reporting across compliance programmes.
• Draft commercial contracts using standard templates (distribution, supply, services).
• Review counterparty amendments and propose responses; draft and review NDAs.
• Conduct legal research to support the wider legal team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Strong experience in data privacy, compliance or commercial legal work.
• Familiarity with GDPR and European privacy frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across teams.
• Experience with Office 365 (essential).
• Fluency in English (required).

Nice to have

• Experience with contract management tools.
• Exposure to contract negotiation.
• Experience in due diligence programmes.
• Experience working with European privacy regulations.
• Strong team collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Additional European language (useful).
