Legal Counsel – Contracts & Compliance on a 12-months fixed-term contract F/M

Reporting to the Legal Department, you will act as a business partner to the R&D, Clinical and operational teams, both in France and internationally.

Activities

Contracts

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including:

• CRO and clinical service provider agreements (MSA, SOW, amendments)
• Clinical Trial Agreements with investigator sites / hospitals
• Collaborative research agreements (academic and industry partners)
• Scientific service agreements (laboratories, specialized suppliers)
• Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)
• NDAs and other pre-contractual documentation, as applicable

Compliance

Contribution to the deployment and monitoring of compliance matters, in coordination with internal teams, including:

• GDPR / data protection, in collaboration with the DPO
• Oversight of relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs)

Support in audits and due diligences on contractual and compliance matters, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsel when required

Contract Processes & Tools

• Harmonization and optimization of contract templates
• Improvement of internal processes (templates, playbooks, workflows, contract management)
• Upstream support to operational teams on projects, providing pragmatic and solution-oriented legal advice

Profile

• Master’s degree in Law (Business Law / Health Law / Life Sciences / IP Law or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in biotech, pharma or broader life sciences environment
• Strong experience in R&D and clinical contracts (drafting and negotiation)
• Fluent English and French (written and spoken) required
• Rigorous, well-organized, with strong prioritization and analytical skills
• Business partner mindset, pragmatic approach, autonomy, and strong interpersonal skills
