Location: France, home-based with regular client-site travel

Salary: €138,000 – €170,000 + bonus & benefits

Employment: Permanent (will also consider Associates / Contractors)

Lead a major pharmaceutical lean manufacturing transformation programme in France, combining senior client leadership, hands-on Operational Excellence expertise and consulting account development.

We are recruiting for a growing, specialist global consulting organisation with a strong reputation in Lean, Operational Excellence and sustainable business transformation , currently delivering a major transformation programme within a global pharmaceutical manufacturer.

This is a senior and highly visible consulting appointment for someone who enjoys being close to operations but has developed the experience and credibility to lead complex programmes and work with senior client stakeholders.

You will take a leading role in the programme in France, working closely with the client and wider consulting team to shape and coordinate transformation activity, manage senior relationships and ensure improvement translates into measurable operational, financial and quality benefits.

Crucially, you won't disappear into programme plans and governance meetings.

You will remain connected to the manufacturing environment and the people delivering the change, leading and supporting workshops, coaching leaders and helping client teams embed Lean capability that remains long after the engagement.

The programme encompasses areas including Tiered Management, Kaizen, OEE and line-side improvement, SMED, Lean Lab, leadership development, behavioural change, Green and Yellow Belt capability development, and benefits realisation.

At the same time, you will operate at a broader level across the client relationship: participating in senior site and global governance, navigating complex stakeholder groups, identifying where further value can be created and helping develop the account over time.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative consulting environment with a strong team ethos, ongoing training and development, and a highly credible professional reputation in Lean and Operational Excellence delivery.

The business is internationally established, partner-owned and deliberately focused on developing its people for the long term. For someone with the ambition and capability to progress further within consulting, there is genuine scope to develop with the organisation.

What we're looking for:

You will bring substantial experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement, with the credibility and gravitas to operate comfortably from the shop floor through to senior leadership.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is strongly preferred , particularly given the nature of the current client programme. However, exceptional candidates from medical devices or other complex regulated and high-reliability manufacturing environments will also be considered where their expertise is strongly transferable.

  • Strong Lean / Operational Excellence manufacturing experience
  • Programme, site or transformation leadership experience
  • Senior stakeholder management, coaching and influencing capability
  • Green Belt as a minimum; Black Belt highly desirable
  • Experience delivering measurable and sustainable improvement
  • Language fluency in French and English
  • Residence in France and flexibility to travel regularly to client sites

Prior consulting experience is advantageous but not essential. We are equally interested in speaking with accomplished senior Operational Excellence leaders from pharmaceutical, medical device or other complex regulated manufacturing environments who can demonstrate the programme leadership, stakeholder credibility and consulting-style approach required for the position.

For experienced consultants, previous involvement in developing senior client relationships, extending engagements or identifying additional opportunities would be particularly valuable.

The salary range is €138,000 – €170,000 , dependent upon experience, together with bonus and benefits.

For someone who still loves the substance of Operational Excellence but now wants to combine that expertise with programme leadership, senior client relationships and the opportunity to shape and grow a major consulting account , this is an unusually broad and interesting next step.
