In December 2020, Alstom launched its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) programme, PLM4A, which enables the creation, update and sharing of product definitions, associated industrial systems, support and services throughout the product life cycle. It facilitates faster development, innovation and cross‑functional collaboration across all sites.
To support the deployment of the PLM4A solution across projects within Services Le Creusot, we are looking for an M&T PLM Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Be the guarantor of testing and validation of new PLM4A functionalities.
- Support and train end‑users in the Engineering scope.
- Capture and formalise Service‑site business needs and share them with the central M&T teams.
- Record incidents and defects reported by users, provide first‑level analysis, characterize issues and, where possible, propose work‑arounds; follow up resolution with IT.
- Ensure adherence to Alstom standard processes, promote correct tool usage and lead change‑management activities on site (process gap analysis, workshop facilitation, rollout and training).
- Develop and maintain documentation for Services.
- Act as a link between the site KU (other departments or the same function) and other sites to share best practices and improvement proposals.
- Guarantee data consistency on the site for engineering and downstream services.
- Identify and propose PLM4A enhancements; specify business needs to central teams and Key‑User network in France.
- Conduct training for teams or new hires after the site deployment phase.
- Collaborate with the RBPE (Business Process Expert) and the DCO (PLM Project Manager on site).
- Implement PLM4A on projects that require a transfer of management mode.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Mechanical engineering background.
- Strong knowledge of engineering processes.
- Experience with 3D CAD (Catia V6) or other PLM systems.
- Experience with Catia V5; digital mock‑up required.
- English language proficiency.
- Ability to formalise business requirements.
- Adaptability and ability to analyse problems with a broad perspective.
