- Is responsible for the launch and profitable development of the Cargo & Logistics Line of Business in France. Plays a key role in developing strategy, business plan, appetite, value proposition and underwriting tools for this regional segment of the Arch International Cargo & Logistics Product Line.
- Underwrites and manages the portfolio to deliver key performance measures for the underwriting segment (including GWP, acquisition cost, RARC/retention, gross accident year non-cat loss ratio, cat AALs).
- Acts as the main underwriting contact for French cargo brokers. Is responsible for both transactional underwriting and portfolio management. Underwrites within authority and guidelines.
- Is responsible for developing and maintaining a lead underwriting capability and reputation for Arch in the French marine cargo market.
- Plays a key role in the recruitment, retention and development of additional team members as required by GWP growth.
- Supports the development and servicing of business in other EEA branches of Arch as required. Collaborates with London cargo underwriting team to share knowledge/best practices and to develop overall product line strategy.
