Role Description
We are looking for a Lead Qualification and Testing Engineer to manage and coordinate equipment qualification activities for nuclear instrumentation systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing testing programs to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable international standards.
You will work closely with accredited testing laboratories, certification bodies, and internal engineering teams throughout the qualification process.
Key responsibilities
- Develop qualification test programs, procedures, and supporting documentation
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise testing activities at accredited external laboratories and internal production facilities
- Ensure compliance with customer technical requirements and applicable industry standards
- Prepare, review, and maintain qualification documentation and test reports
- Analyze test results and coordinate corrective actions when required
- Liaise with testing laboratories, certification bodies, customers, and internal engineering teams
- Support audits, inspections, and technical discussions related to equipment qualification
Scope of Qualification Activities
You will oversee verification of compliance with requirements including:
- Ingress Protection (IP)
- Temperature, humidity, and pressure operating conditions
- Seismic and vibration resistance
- Environmental and accelerated aging
- Long-term operational reliability
- Other environmental and operational requirements applicable to nuclear instrumentation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in development of qualification or test programs, coordination and execution of equipment testing, preparation of technical documentation and reports
- Experience in interacting with accredited testing laboratories
- Strong understanding of engineering qualification, verification, and validation processes
- Ability to manage multiple technical activities in a structured and organized manner
Languages
- Russian — fluent, written and spoken
- English — good communication skills and ability to work with technical documentation
- French — considered a strong advantage
Candidate Profile
- Based in Europe, preferably in France
- Ability to work effectively in an international engineering environment
- Ability to coordinate activities with European testing laboratories and technical partners
Additional Qualifications
- Experience in the nuclear industry or other safety-critical sectors
- Knowledge of IEC, ISO, and GOST standards
- Experience in qualification of equipment intended for harsh environmental conditions
