Lead Solution Architect - Expert(e) Architecte Solution H/F
Location: This role is based onsite with an expectation to work primarily from an HPE partner/customer office.
Overview
The Lead Solution Architect is responsible for delivering business value to customers by architecting effective information systems solutions that address the customer's business problems, needs and opportunities in alignment with company strategy and business goals. The role requires advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues, partnership with functional and technical teams, and a strong focus on professional development and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
- Architect custom solutions of project and program or operational scope.
- Architect reusable solutions of project or operational scope.
- Customize reusable solutions of project and program or operational scope.
- Capture and share architectural IP at the project and program level.
- Oversee the implementation and governance of architectures of project and program or operational scope.
- Contribute to the Architect profession worldwide and across the company businesses.
- Develop client‑technically feasible long‑term IT strategies and plans.
- Assess business impact of specific technologies/strategies.
- Identify and address technical or operational risks.
- Provide review/input on project activities for medium to large business unit‑level projects.
- Collaborate with the project manager to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations at CEO/Executive Staff/CIO levels for medium to large opportunities.
Education and Experience
- Industry experience: 5 to 10 years.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Architecting: Understand customer business problems and design IS solutions; lead a team of at least two consultants; deliver medium to large business‑unit level solutions across multiple technology or specialty areas.
- Business Acumen: Identify risks and challenges; develop architecture specification deliverables; apply business management, financial concepts and capital investment; analyze business needs and produce meaningful recommendations.
- Technical: Deep IT industry knowledge in specific areas; awareness of future technology or operational trends; expert level knowledge of specific technologies, IT operations or disciplines; design for accessibility, scalability, and availability.
- Engagement Delivery: Write Statements of Work and apply program/project management methods to plan, cost, resource, and track progress.
- Opportunity Pursuit: Lead identification, qualification and closing of medium to large opportunities; position company offering against competition; contribute to proposals, bids and internal reviews.
- Leadership: Mentor specialist level architects; contribute to the company knowledge system; assist in development and delivery of training.
- Consulting: Build and manage long‑term strategic relationships at CIO/CTO level; articulate technical problems into business terms; prepare persuasive communications.
- Communication: Design and present high‑impact messages to senior management; use various presentation tools; demonstrate strong writing skills.
