Lead Software Engineer

We are currently partnered with a fast-growing biotech organization building AI-powered platforms to support advanced scientific research and personalized medicine. The team develops scalable, data-driven products that enable users to work with complex biological and clinical datasets.

• Web Application Development: Strong experience building and scaling complex, user-facing web applications
• Build end to end features across the frontend and backend, with a strong focus on user-facing functionality
• Develop and maintain APIs that power rich, interactive web interfaces and dashboards
• Contribute to a next-generation B2B SaaS platform focused on scientific data analysis, ensuring scalability, reliability, and excellent user experience
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and data science teams to translate user needs into effective web solutions
• Participate in product discovery, requirements gathering, testing, and iterative improvement
• Apply best practices for frontend architecture, performance optimization, security, and maintainability

Preference: Background within the Biomedical/Biotech/Life Sciences space

Skills:

• Frontend: Strong experience building web applications with ReactJS, TailwindCSS (or equivalent modern frameworks)
• Fullstack Development: Strong experience building and maintaining complex, production-grade software systems
• Visualization: Plotly, D3.js, Observable, or similar libraries for interactive, data-driven UIs
• Backend: Node.js and Python (FastAPI experience preferred) for web APIs and services
• Web Architecture: Experience designing scalable web systems and frontend–backend contracts
• Databases & Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies
• Product mindset: Comfortable working closely with end users and iterating on UI/UX based on feedback
• Experience in scientific, data-intensive, or analytics-driven web platforms
• Bonus: Exposure to design systems, UX research, or A/B testing

Education & Experience:

• 6 - 8+ years of experience building and shipping complex, production-grade web applications
• Strong technical depth with a proven ability to deliver user facing products
• Fluent English communication skills, comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
