Your role :
Reporting to the IE Core Services Director and working within a multidisciplinary team of developers, testers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters across Grenoble, Barcelona, and Bangalore, you will be a key technical contributor to the design, implementation, and evolution of Intelligent Edge Core Services.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will contribute to building robust, scalable, and maintainable platform components, while actively participating in architectural discussions, technical reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Your missions :
The Senior Software Developer plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality software and ensuring technical excellence within Core Services. They contribute actively to design and implementation, support team alignment on technical topics, and help identify and resolve technical challenges. The role requires strong autonomy, deep technical expertise, and collaboration across teams.
Your profile :
- Contribute to Software Architecture and Design
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Understand and apply platform architecture principles and guidelines.
- Challenge existing designs constructively and propose improvements when relevant.
- Contribute to the definition of interfaces, APIs, and service contracts.
- Maintain a clear understanding of how Core Services integrate within the broader Intelligent Edge platform.
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Core Services
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, and well‑tested code aligned with platform standards.
- Contribute to detailed technical design based on functional requirements and high‑level specifications.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and security aspects are properly addressed.
- Participate actively in pull request reviews and code quality improvements.
- Contribute to documentation of technical solutions and design decisions.
- Provide Strong Technical Expertise
- Act as a technical reference within the team for specific components or domains.
- Support the team in analyzing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Participate in technical investigations, proofs of concept, and evaluations of new technologies.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve integration and dependency‑related challenges.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices within the team.
- Identify and Anticipate Technical Impacts
- Analyze the impact of technical choices on performance, scalability, maintainability, and delivery timelines.
- Identify potential technical risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development patterns and tooling.
- Raise early alerts when technical complexity or quality issues may affect delivery commitments.
- Contribute to Agile Delivery and Team Collaboration
- Actively participate in PI Planning, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with the PO and other team members to clarify requirements.
- Contribute to effort estimation and technical feasibility discussions.
- Identify and communicate technical blockers or dependencies in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively in a multi‑site, multicultural environment.
- Support and Mentor Team Members
- Support less experienced developers through technical guidance and code reviews.
- Share knowledge on platform architecture, best practices, and development standards.
- Promote a collaborative and quality‑driven engineering culture.
- Contribute to onboarding of new team members when required.
Your skills :
- Strong software engineering mindset with a focus on quality and maintainability
- Solid experience designing and implementing complex software components
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Comfortable working in agile development environments
- Proactive and autonomous, with a strong sense of ownership
