Purpose of the role
- Lead and coordinate the Rotating equipment scope and deliverables of the project during the detailed design and procurement phases.
- Supervise FPSO EPC Contractor design of relevant discipline and aid/support to pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up preparation teams.
- Ensure FPSO Rotating equipment and design consistency, optimisation, operability and flexibility which implies interfaces management and leadership towards other packages.
- Ensure that FPSO EPC design of rotating discipline complies with S.O.R., contract documentation, schedule, budget and safety practices.
- Provide a close supervision and control of the Rotating equipment purchase orders execution by the main EPC CONTRACTOR, including relevant missions and visits to the Vendors and attendance to pre-FATs and i-FATs.
- Avoid FPSO EPC Contractor stand-by/delays by prompt response to engineering queries or/and request for waiver (if any) and unexpected technical issues, by a proactive and proficient approach.
- Minimise design change during the execution of the detailed design thus securing the schedule.
- Promote & comply in all activities with applicable safety instructions and other company HSE rules.
Location : Between 1 and 2 years in Paris - France, up to 18 months in Singapore, up to 18 months in Geoje - South Korea.
Profil recherché
Ideal candidate
- Minimum 15 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering, including at least 3 years on FPSO or similar oil & gas projects
- Proven involvement in detailed design, including review of engineering documents, vendor packages, and interface management
- Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), technical bid evaluations, and vendor coordination during engineering phase
- Solid knowledge of API, ISO, ASME and other international standards
- Ability to support technical audits, HAZOPs, and design reviews with multidisciplinary teams
- Exposure to commissioning and pre-commissioning activities, including punch list clearance and system completion
- Fluent in English. French being a plus.
