We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Product Designer to join our dynamic Product team at SBS Digital Lending. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, with a passion for creating intuitive and impactful financial technology solutions, and managing a team of designers. As the Lead Product Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our lending products, ensuring they meet the needs of our users and drive business value.

Missions

• Manage Design Team: Manage and lead the design team, ensuring clear communication, coordination, and collaboration among team members.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and supporting them in their career progression.
• Strategy: Develop and implement Product design strategies that align with the Business Unit’s vision and business objectives in collaboration with the Head of Product.
• Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with Head of Product & CTO to define roadmap planning, set associated design goals and build execution plans with Designers.
• Product Delivery: Ensure that all designers are delivering designs aligned with the roadmap planning.
• Voice of Design: Be the voice of design at SBS Digital Lending, advocating for best practices, user needs, and innovative solutions.
• Lead Design Initiatives: Take ownership of the design process, from research and concept development to execution and delivery.
• User‑Centered Design: Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions; develop user personas, journey maps, and user flows.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Product team—including Product Managers, developers, data scientists, and engineers—to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product goals.
• Design Systems: Maintain and update our design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
• Agile Methodology: Participate in Scrum processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Data‑Driven Design: Utilize data and analytics to inform design decisions and measure the impact of design changes.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with experience as a lead or mentor.
• Skills: Strong understanding of UX / UI principles and putting the user at the heart of the solution. Detail‑oriented and proficient in Figma.
• Communication: Fluent in English; excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders.
• Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a user‑centered approach to design.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, open to feedback and continuous improvement.
