Looking for an exciting opportunity in a growing sector to play a key role in the organization of the Planning department? Join a major global wind-energy company as Lead Planner.
Planning department is responsible for creating wind energy project execution schedules considering many external factors (customer requests, site conditions) but also internal ones (financial target, contractual terms, location of production of wind turbine parts, location of projects, KPIs). Involved in the sales phase, it plays an equally important role during the construction phase to secure an execution according to the contractual schedule.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and progress the overall resource loaded portfolio schedule into Primavera (VESTAS planning software). Ensure that all schedules generated for a project are fully integrated and resource‑loaded to ensure the accuracy of projected staffing requirements.
- Assist in the development of project plans and schedules ranging from level one integrated project plans through to detailed level activities.
- Obtain data on project progress and logic from Project Managers, contractors or other project/plant personnel.
- Review/validate expected milestone dates on new projects, assisting in setting milestone targets as required.
- Elaborate monthly/weekly Planning reports for Customers according to contractual requirements.
- Conduct schedule review meetings and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to project plans.
- Assist other planners at corporate level, the project managers, team members, and the Head of Construction on project scheduling issues as opportunities/risks arise.
- Ensure that the Planning department supports the project team with claim/variation management and supports the operational site management with short‑term planning tasks.
- Create and maintain Plannings for the Bidding Phase into Primavera (VESTAS planning software) supporting the Bid Construction Manager.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- More than 5 years of experience as Project Planner in large international projects (budget > €50MM), experience on wind energy is valuable.
- Proficiency in English and French, spoken and written (mandatory).
- Solid skills in Office Software – PRIMAVERA and MS Project.

- International experience – interaction with customers/partners/providers from multiple countries.
- Demonstrated organization and interpersonal skills; experienced in maintaining meetings with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, subcontractors) and internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance).
- Ability to handle frequent changes in workload and priorities.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly.
- Problem‑solving and judgement capabilities.

Additional Information
This is a hybrid position based in Madrid, Spain or Montpellier, France and requires up to 30% of travel per year.
It is mandatory to have proficiency in both English and French, spoken and written.
