Lead Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising mechanical installations across all relevant systems, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role involves interfacing with subcontractors for daily planning, task sequencing, and resource allocation. The supervisor tracks daily progress, conducts visual inspections, and coordinates with various teams to manage system interfaces and area readiness. Additionally, the role supports the implementation of project HSE policies and intervenes when unsafe practices are observed.

Job Requirements

• Technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, building services, or related field
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, installations, and sequencing in a construction context
• Familiarity with ductwork, pipework, insulation, drainage, and air handling systems
• Understanding of site safety practices and construction coordination principles
• Basic proficiency in MS Office tools
• Familiarity with construction coordination platforms is an advantage
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
• Fluency in French is required
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction supervision, preferably in industrial environments
• Experience with large-scale HVAC, piping, or plant installations
• Previous data center experience is a strong advantage
