Job Description

Airswift is recruiting for a Lead HVAC Engineer to support a technically demanding FEED project within the oil and gas sector. This Lead HVAC Engineer position will focus on HVAC engineering studies and the delivery of key technical documentation for a major project environment.

The Lead HVAC Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical documents including specifications, design basis documents, thermal calculation notes, HVAC equipment lists, PFD-type process flow diagrams, equipment and material lists, and technical requisitions and specifications for invitations to tender. The Lead HVAC Engineer will also define control principles and integrated control and regulation principles suitable for incorporation into site architecture.

This Lead HVAC Engineer role requires strong interface management across multiple disciplines, alongside responsibility for discipline management including monitoring man-hour budgets, schedules, and deliverables. The successful Lead HVAC Engineer will also provide technical procurement support through clarification, evaluation, and comparison of suppliers’ technical bids, while coordinating effectively with multiple engineering centres and partner engineering teams involved in the project.

Job Notes

Candidates should hold a general engineering degree and/or a specialisation in thermal engineering, with significant HVAC engineering experience in the oil and gas sector. A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience is required. A Thermal and Energy Engineering degree, or equivalent, is considered the minimum qualification for this Lead HVAC Engineer opportunity.

The ideal Lead HVAC Engineer will demonstrate autonomy, logical thinking, a methodical approach, and strong accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in the operational management of a team would be advantageous. All work will be carried out in line with project rules, engineering best practice, and applicable quality assurance procedures.
