Responsibilities

Supporting 19M users and 130k Daily Active Users (DAU), you will design, develop and maintain a high‑performance, accessible, and scalable Front‑end ecosystem. You will be the guardian of UI/UX consistency and technical excellence, ensuring a robust testing strategy that guarantees a bug‑free experience for millions of users.

• User Experience Advocacy: design, develop, and maintain a high‑performance, accessible, and scalable Front‑end ecosystem, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users.
• Technical Referent: become the technical referent for the front‑end platform, taking full ownership of the UI/UX consistency and the underlying architecture.
• Testing Strategy: hold the testing responsibility, defining best practices (Unit, Integration, E2E) to ensure a bug‑free production environment.
• Design System & DevX: lead the implementation of a robust Design System and optimize the Developer Experience (DevX) to accelerate feature delivery within squads.
• Lead effective collaboration with workshops with other collaborators and communicate progress.
• Build talent density by conducting technical appraisal interviews for positions with strong technical expertise.
• Establish, monitor and communicate the platform’s operational metrics.
• Take the floor internally and hopefully externally within a technological network.

Challenges

• Visibility: Crafting interfaces for 19M users worldwide.
• Performance: Optimizing rendering and Core Web Vitals for a platform handling 10k+ RPS.
• Engagement: Securing the user journey for 130k DAU across mobile and desktop.

Collaboration

We focus on feature delivery within our squad organization. A squad is composed of a Product Manager, a Product Designer, a Technical Lead, and Back‑end, Front‑end, and QA engineers. Integrated to squads work, we focus on technical excellence, bringing people together for tech improvements such as CI/CD, DevX (Developer Experience), monitoring, and more.

• Guide the teams in the design and architecture of their deliverables/solutions.
• Partner with the Product Manager to engage with the squad and stakeholders and define the appropriate technical and product strategy.
• Share technical expertise and technology watch, and upskill technical teams through internal training programs.
• Define with QA Engineers the best testing practices, using automated & AI solutions.
• Participate in the Tech Leaders' Community of Professionals.

Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: led a 6 to 10 engineer team with a track record of establishing engineering excellence standards.
• Pixel Perfect & UX Sensibility: extreme attention to detail; “pixel perfect” is a core value, ensuring design intent is perfectly translated into the final product.
• Performance & Web Vitals: track record of building resilient systems in high‑traffic environments, focusing on optimizing Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and rendering performance.
• Scalable Architecture: guide architecture decisions (State management, Component‑based architecture, Micro‑frontends) based on valuable experience and articulate the “why” behind choices.
• QA & Quality Standards: define, with QA Engineers, the most effective testing practices, leveraging automated solutions like Playwright to secure the user journey.
• Curiosity & Drive: relentlessly seek the why and how, experiment, and challenge the status‑quo to find smart, efficient solutions.
• Accountability: adopt an Extreme Ownership mindset, believing success is always within your scope of action; focus solely on achieving results.

Technical Stack

• Core: React (18), JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Legacy Support: knowledge of PHP 7/8 (Symfony) to manage transition from legacy parts.
• Testing & Quality: Playwright for E2E, Sentry, Jest/React Testing Library, Visual Regression tools.
• Communication: REST API, Webhooks, and WebSockets.
• Design & Workflow: Figma, Storybook (Design System), React‑Aria for A11Y, Postman.
• Infrastructure: AWS Environment, including monitoring and performance tracking.
