As Lead Facade Engineer / Architect , you will assume a key role with broad creative and strategic scope. In close collaboration with sbp’s international management, you will advance the development of innovative solutions, systematically expand our in-house facade design expertise, and set new standards within the discipline.
In addition, you will actively contribute to further develop our highly qualified facade team, promote targeted technical development, and play a central role in positioning facade design as a forward-looking area of expertise – both within the office and through our business development initiatives.
Your in-depth industry knowledge will be instrumental in identifying new facade project opportunities and in working with our business development team to successfully acquire them for sbp.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify new project opportunities worldwide, provide technical support during acquisition processes, and actively shape sbp’s market presence in facade design
- Provide technical leadership, targeted mentoring, and strategic further development of existing expertise – with the goal of visibly expanding the office’s established excellence and shaping the future positioning of the facade design
- Independently plan and execute technically and aesthetically demanding projects worldwide, taking into account engineering and building physics requirements
- Develop creative and innovative solutions in close collaboration with renowned architectural offices and specialist consultants
- Coordinate and liaise with architects, clients, and contractors
- Manage projects from initial concept to successful completion
Your Profile
- Successfully completed degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Extensive industry knowledge and a solid understanding of market dynamics in facade design; experience in facade project acquisition is a plus
- Several years of professional experience as a project leader in facade design, including the development of detailed solutions for various facade types
- Strong technical expertise in building physics, material science, construction methods, and detailing
- Good knowledge of national and international regulations regarding facade construction requirements
- Experience in leading and supervising interdisciplinary teams of designers and engineers, as well as collaborating with architects and clients
- High sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment
- Excellent communication skills and strong team orientation
- Fluent written and spoken English
