Job Description

Position: Technical Manager for Maritime Surveillance (f/m) – Elancourt, France. The role is part of the SIE Project, developing STYRIS®, an Airbus data platform for maritime sensors (radars, AIS, cameras, weather stations, sonars). You will lead the engineering scope, ensuring OTOCOQ delivery and technical governance for the engineering teams, and interface with system engineering project management in Germany.

Challenges

  • Responsible for delivering the maritime system based on STYRIS OTOCOQ.
  • Define the scope clearly and manage changes with proper impact analysis.
  • Structure and plan the engineering work.
  • Define and monitor engineering risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and control progress (time, cost, quality).
  • Ensure commitments made during bids are planned.
  • Lead engineering reviews, system studies and design reviews (CDR).
  • Structure IVV work and organise appropriate test reviews (FAT).
  • Support IVV work on site.
  • Lead engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the maritime system within OTOCOQ.
  • Define scope, manage changes, analyse impacts.
  • Plan, structure, and monitor engineering work and risks.
  • Control engineering progress and quality.
  • Lead engineering reviews and design reviews.
  • Organise IVV and FAT.
  • Support IVV on site and lead teams.

Qualifications

  • Computer science or comparable field of study.
  • 15+ years of professional experience; 5+ years as technical lead, team management and customer relationship.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Fast learner, curious, structured.
  • Team spirit.
  • Knowledge in system, network, Linux, electronics (radars, VoIP, camera, VHF), information system security and general computer knowledge.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Desirable: Agile experience.
  • Security clearance required or eligibility for clearance.
