Lead Engineer

Job Title: Lead Engineering

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering professional to lead the Engineering & Maintenance function for one manufacturing plant in France. The role will be responsible for day-to-day engineering operations, production line maintenance, new line installation, plant improvements, automation, compliance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Engineering & Maintenance operations for the plant.
• Ensure reliable maintenance of production lines and critical utilities/equipment.
• Manage installation and commissioning of new production lines and equipment.
• Drive breakdown analysis, RCA, CAPA and preventive maintenance.
• Lead plant modernization, automation and engineering improvement projects.
• Manage engineering budgets, maintenance costs and external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, audits and qualification requirements.
• Drive energy conservation, cost reduction and equipment reliability.
• Review and approve equipment qualification/validation documents.
• Provide technical leadership for plant engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and other functions to ensure smooth plant operations.

Reporting Structure

• Administrative Reporting to: Plant Head
• Functional Reporting to: Group Operations Head

Candidate Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of overall experience in Engineering / Maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Injectable / Sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing .
• Strong experience in production line maintenance, installation and commissioning of new lines.
• Experience in plant engineering, automation, CAPA, RCA and preventive maintenance.
• Strong understanding of GxP, data integrity and engineering compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing external agencies.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Location & Visa

• Candidate is expected to be based in France for this role.
• France work visa support will be facilitated by the organization for the selected candidate.
