Lead Embedded Software Engineer – Marine and Underwater Drones

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain real‑time firmware on microcontrollers (STM32)
- Integrate new sensors, boards and payloads (drivers, udev rules, interfaces)
- Debug and harden communications (Ethernet, serial, USB, I2C…)
- Maintain embedded Linux systems using the Yocto Project (boot, updates, kernel configuration)
- Participate in platform migration and evolution (e.g., BeagleBone Black, NVIDIA Jetson Orin)
- Integrate advanced software components (e.g., ROS, radio modules…) and adapt existing open‑source solutions
- Grow expertise on the application layer to support the robotics teams
- Ensure overall system robustness (testing, CI, validation)
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in low‑level C/C++ (MCUs such as STM32)
- Experience with complete embedded systems (boot, drivers, Linux, Yocto, hardware)
- Comfortable with communication protocols (TCP/IP, UART, SPI, I2C…)
- Field‑oriented mindset: able to debug both hardware and software
- Fluent technical English (reading/writing documentation, technical discussions)
- Experience in robotics & autopilots (ROS, autopilots, Kalman filters)
- Familiarity with Jetson / single‑board computer (SBC) platforms
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools and embedded testing
- Proficient with Git (including submodules), GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and setting up tests (unit, integration, HIL/SIL, simulation)
