Lead Developer, Software Architect – Software Product Redesign

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the legacy product developed in C/C++.
• Understand the existing architecture to prepare the transition.
• Design the technical architecture for the next generation.
• Develop the new application core in embedded Java.
• Contribute to architectural and cybersecurity decisions.
• Implement modern development best practices.
• Mentor and support the skill development of a second developer.
• Become the technical lead for the product.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in C/C++, embedded Java, or similar software architectures.
• At least 5 years' experience in evolving a software product.
• Experience with industrial software and embedded systems.
• Proficient in C; familiarity with embedded Java or Rust.
• Application of Secure by Design principles.
• Authorized to work in France.
• Degree or training in embedded systems and electronics is a plus.
• Experience with Rust or embedded architectures on Linux is an asset.
